Sabas Avila

Sabas Avila, P.E., CFM is a seasoned professional in public works with over two decades of experience at the City of San Marcos, where roles have included Director of Public Works, Assistant Director of Public Services for the Transportation Division, and Interim Director of Capital Improvements. In these capacities, Sabas has supervised a $140 million Capital Improvements Department, overseeing city engineers, project designs, schedules, and budgets. Earlier in career, Sabas served as an Engineering Research Associate at the Texas Transportation Institute from 1990 to 1992. Sabas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University.
