Rhys Ballestar

Rhys Ballestar is an experienced Permit Technician with a strong background in urban planning and community development. Currently employed by the City of San Marino since October 2021, Rhys has previously held similar positions at VCA Code, Willdan, and JAS Pacific, demonstrating a consistent focus on permit processing and building safety. Additionally, Rhys worked at Ballard Homes as an In-home Aide and gained valuable experience as a Planning Technician at the City of La Cañada Flintridge, where duties included both planning and permit-related tasks. Rhys holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, earned in 2004.
