Bob Newport

Bob Newport has extensive experience in environmental planning and management, with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as a Rec Assistant (Volunteer) for the City of Scottsdale, Bob oversees operations at Pinnacle Peak park and assists visitors. Prior volunteer work includes an Office Associate role at Capital Project Management, focusing on project records for municipal construction initiatives. Previous positions include Project Manager at OAI, inc., where Bob worked on workforce development and green infrastructure projects, and Fellow, Environmental Planner at the Metropolitan Planning Council, concentrating on stormwater management and watershed planning. Additionally, Bob spent 18 years as an Environmental Specialist with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, overseeing various programs related to stormwater and sustainable redevelopment. Academic qualifications include a Master of Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois Chicago, along with Bachelor's degrees in Economics from Northwestern University and Public Administration from Roosevelt University.
