Maiko Winkler-Chin

Director, Office Of Housing at City of Seattle

Maiko Winkler-Chin has been working as the Director of the Office of Housing at the City of Seattle since March 2022. Prior to this role, they were the Executive Director at SCIDPDA from September 2009 to March 2022, and also served as a Housing Manager at the same organization from October 2004 to September 2009. From 1997 to 2004, Maiko worked as a Developer at SEED. Maiko started their career as an Intern at the Seattle Housing Authority in 1996 and as an HR Intern at the City of Kirkland from June 1995 to June 1996. Maiko also worked as an Assistant Director at ASSE from 1993 to 1994.

Maiko Winkler-Chin has a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Washington, which was obtained from 1994 to 1996. Maiko also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in International Affairs and Asian Studies from the University of Puget Sound, earned between 1985 and 1989. Additionally, they completed their high school education at Leilehua High School. Maiko Winkler-Chin has obtained the NeighborWorks Achieving Excellence certification from Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education in 2022.
