Rachel Zermeno is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in community engagement and municipal administration. Currently serving as Community Engagement Manager for the City of Shafter since August 2015, Rachel has held various roles including Assistant to the City Manager and Deputy City Clerk. Prior experience includes serving as Chamber Director at the Shafter Chamber of Commerce and Personnel Coordinator at Helmerich & Payne, where competencies in personnel laws and administrative support were developed. Rachel's foundational roles as Sales Representative at Viceroy Homes and Construction Warranty Assistant at San Joaquin Development contributed to a diverse skill set. Additionally, Rachel has a strong background in administrative assistance from the Lost Hills Union School District. Educational achievements include certification as a Certified Municipal Clerk through the International Institute Municipal Clerk and relevant coursework at the University of California, Riverside, and California State University, Bakersfield.
