Wayne D. Hudson I

Wayne D. Hudson I has extensive work experience in law enforcement. Wayne D. has served as the Chief of Police for the City of Shaker Heights since 2023. Prior to that, they held various roles at the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, including Chief Deputy from 2021-2023. At the Sheriff's Office, they were responsible for overseeing court services, uniform services, and managing personnel. Wayne also served as the President of the Metropolitan Chiefs Association from 2018-2023. Before their career in law enforcement, Wayne served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force from 1986-1992.

Wayne D. Hudson I pursued their education starting in 1992 at Wayne State College, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. Wayne D. then went on to attend the University of Nebraska at Omaha from 1994 to 1998, where they obtained a Master of Public Administration degree with a focus on Local Government.
