Rick Potter

Rick Potter started their career in the City of Pueblo Fire Department in 1990 as a firefighter. Over the years, they held various positions within the department, including Fire Medic, Emergency Medical Officer, Captain, Assistant Fire Chief, and Deputy Fire Chief. In 2019, they served as the Interim Fire Chief before becoming the Deputy Fire Chief. In 2020, Rick Potter joined the City of Shawnee, KS Fire Department as the Fire Chief.

Rick Potter earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Fire Services Administration from Western Oregon University in 2012. Rick later pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a focus on Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management from American Public University, completing their studies in 2016.
