William Blackmer

William Blackmer currently serves as the Workforce Development Coordinator for the City of Somerville, overseeing initiatives related to job creation, management of grants, and data collection to support local workforce development. With previous experience as Lead Career Coach at JVS Boston, William managed teams and program data while assisting immigrant and refugee clients in achieving career goals. Earlier roles included vocational training instruction through AmeriCorps and internships focused on refugee resettlement and youth programs. William holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and Affairs from Wheaton College and has studied internationally in Denmark and at the School for International Training.
