Matt Wirick

Matt Wirick serves as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Sonoma since May 2021, contributing to the development and implementation of the city's long-term General Plan and providing recommendations on land use applications. Additionally, Matt has been an alternate for the Planning Commission, assisting in the same capacity. Since November 2010, Matt has worked for Yolo County as an Agriculture Crime Investigator and Public Information Officer, focusing on the prevention and investigation of agricultural crime. Prior experience includes a position on the Traffic Safety Commission for the City of Sonoma from January 2019 to March 2021. Matt holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from California State University, Chico, earned in 2011.
