Melanie Herendeen

Melanie Herendeen, MS-HRD has a strong background in human resources. Melanie is currently working as the Director of Human Resources at the City of South Bend. Prior to this, they served as the Human Resources Manager at NCP Coatings Inc. Melanie also worked as the Corporate Human Resources Manager at Heritage Financial Group, Inc., where they collaborated on a student-focused apprenticeship program and streamlined HR functions. Melanie has also held positions as the Human Resources Services Manager at Gibson, Director of Career Services at Brown Mackie College, Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Ivy Tech Community College, Human Resources Assistant at Creative Financial Staffing (CFS), and Commercial Operations Supervisor/HR Generalist Duties at Liberty Mutual Insurance. Throughout their career, Melanie has achieved various accomplishments such as spearheading payroll production, providing career guidance to students, and leading employee recruitment and professional development initiatives.

Melanie Herendeen, MS-HRD, obtained their Master of Science degree in Human Resources from Villanova University in 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management from Bethel College - Company in 2010. Melanie'seducation journey began with an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Office Management and Supervision from Ivy Tech Community College in 2008.
