Dean Screpnek, CMA, CPA, CLGM, currently serves as the City Manager for the City of Spruce Grove since January 2021. Prior to this role, Dean held various senior positions within the Government of Alberta from 2013 to 2021, including Assistant Deputy Minister for Health, the Public Service Commission, and Service Alberta. Dean's experience also encompasses a tenure as Branch Manager for Corporate Accounting & Treasury at the City of Edmonton from 2011 to 2013, and as General Manager of Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer at both the City of St. Albert (2007-2011) and Parkland County (1997-2007), where responsibilities included the role of Financial Controller.
