Jennifer McMahon has extensive experience in the field of human resources and administration. Jennifer most recently served as the Director of Human Resources for the City of St. Charles, Illinois, where they were responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Human Resources Department. Jennifer managed various programs including employment services, employee benefits, labor relations, and training. Jennifer also served as the chief negotiator in collective bargaining agreements. Prior to their role in St. Charles, they worked as the Assistant City Administrator for the City of Warrenville, where they handled human resources functions, labor relations, and IT administration. Jennifer'sresponsibilities also included budgeting, staff supervision, and project management. Jennifer began their career as a Human Resources Assistant for the City of Elmhurst and later worked as a Purchasing Coordinator for the West Central Municipal Conference. Jennifer also gained experience as a Construction Coordinator Assistant for the Housing Authority of Joliet, where they supported the upgrading and rehabilitation of public housing units and assisted with the Step-up Job Training Program.

Jennifer McMahon earned their BA degree in Urban Studies from DePaul University, which they attended from 1990 to 1994. Jennifer then pursued further education and obtained an MUPP (Master of Urban Planning & Policy) degree from the University of Illinois Chicago, completing their studies between 1995 and 2000.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Jennifer has also acquired a number of certifications. Jennifer obtained the "Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification" from HRCI in 2020. Additionally, they have the "Mental Health First Aid USA" certification from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, which they obtained in June 2023. Another notable certification is their "ICMA Emerging Leaders" certificate from ICMA, which they received in June 2011.
