David Cordero has a diverse work experience. David began their career as a Sports Editor at The Daily Aztec in 1999. David then worked as a Sports Writer at The Herald Journal from 2001 to 2006. During this time, they wrote game stories, previews, columns, and features. At The Spectrum & Daily News, they served as the Sports and Outdoors Editor from 2006 to 2014, where they were responsible for content generation and execution. David also held the role of Interim Executive Editor, overseeing a staff of 27 employees and executing a reorganization of the editorial department. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as a Freelance Writer at Method Communications. David then served as a Marketing Associate at Bay Equity, LLC from 2016 to 2017. David then joined Sorenson Advertising as a Public Relations Specialist, where they strategized PR plans, generated social media followers, and maintained relationships with media. From 2017 to 2018, they were the Membership Director at the St. George Area Chamber of Commerce, helping businesses understand the marketing value of Chamber membership. Currently, they are the Communications and Marketing Director at the City of St. George.
David Cordero attended Grossmont College from 1996 to 1998, but did not obtain a degree. From 1998 to 2001, they then went on to San Diego State University where they earned a degree in Business Management, with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General.
