Bjorn Utu

Bjorn Utu is a seasoned civil engineer currently employed by the City of Steamboat Springs since August 2021. Prior experience includes serving as an infantry officer and Company Commander in the United States Marine Corps since February 2011. Utu has worked as a Project Field Engineer at Northwest Colorado Consultants, Inc. from July 2020 to August 2021, and as a Project Engineer at Soilogic, Inc. from September 2016 to July 2020. Additional roles include guiding at Wild Kids Hawaii from October 2015 to June 2016 and serving as a Civil Engineering Technician at North West Colorado Consultants from June 2005 to August 2010, where responsibilities included sample collection and laboratory testing for construction materials. Utu holds a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University, obtained between 2007 and 2010, and studied at the University of Colorado Boulder from 2004 to 2006.
