City of Sterling Heights
Alexis Richards is a dedicated planning professional with extensive experience in urban and regional planning. Currently serving as a Planner II for the City of Sterling Heights since September 2022, Alexis previously held positions as a Public Policy Associate and Policy Fellow at Community Development Advocates of Detroit from May 2021 to September 2022. Earlier experience includes roles as a Project Planner and Community and Economic Development Intern for the City of Ferndale, Michigan between March 2019 and May 2021, as well as a Green Corps Leader at The Greening of Detroit from June 2018 to August 2019. Alexis holds a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Michigan (2020-2022) and a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Wayne State University (2018-2020), complemented by studies at Central Michigan University from 2014 to 2018.
