Kelly Kinnett

Kelly Kinnett, P.E., currently serves as the Assistant Utilities Director (Gas) for the City of Sunrise since July 2022. Previously, Kinnett held the position of Division Director for Water and Gas at the City of Danville, Virginia Utilities Department, overseeing a combined workgroup managing 15,300 gas distribution customers. Prior experience includes roles as General Manager at Northwest Alabama Gas District, managing gas distribution and storage for 14,044 customers, and Manager of Compliance/Maintenance at the City of Monroe, NC, where construction and maintenance of electric and gas projects were overseen. Kinnett's professional background also includes serving as Vice President/Sr. Engineer at Heath and Associates, Inc., and Operations Manager and Compliance Engineer at Oklahoma Natural Gas Company. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
