Jim Jones

Jim Jones is an experienced professional in recreation and community development, currently serving as the General Manager for the City of Swift Current since July 2019. In this role, Jim oversees parks and facilities planning, construction, maintenance, and operations while providing leadership and supervision to various departmental staff. Prior to this position, Jim held several key roles at the City of Leduc, including General Manager and Manager of Community Partnerships & Sponsorships. Jim's earlier career includes positions such as Executive Director at Softball Alberta and Recreation Director in multiple organizations, showcasing a long-standing commitment to enhancing community engagement and promoting recreational opportunities. Jim holds a Diploma in Recreation from the Kelsey Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences, further solidifying expertise in recreation and leisure facilities management.
