Troy Chavez

Troy Chavez has an extensive work experience in the construction industry. Troy started their career as a Construction Manager at Paul J Sierra Construction in 1991, where they were responsible for scheduling and supervising field employees and sub-contractors. Troy also communicated with clients daily. In 1987, they established their own construction company, Unique Craftsman Inc., where they served as the Owner/President. Troy was responsible for all aspects of operating the company, including employing personnel, estimation, invoicing, and field management. At the City of Tampa, Troy held several roles, including Construction Supervisor and Chief Construction Inspector. As a Constructor Inspector II, they were responsible for technical inspection work and ensuring compliance with codes and ordinances for various construction projects, including the 2012 Republican National Convention.

Troy Chavez attended Tampa Catholic High School from 1978 to 1981. Troy then enrolled at Hillsborough Community College from 1981 to 1983. Troy also obtained additional certifications such as Standard Construction Inspector, State Certified Building Contractor, and Stormwater Management Inspector from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
