Bea Barnett has served as the Community Services Superintendent for the City of Temecula since June 2005, overseeing major departmental projects, supervising staff, and managing various cultural venues and programs including the Old Town Temecula Community Theater and Temecula Valley Museum. Prior to this role, Barnett held positions such as Theater Manager and Marketing & Patron Services/House Manager at KZSW TV/NEWSNET from 2005 to 2010, as well as serving as an Entertainment Contributor for OnlineLearning.net from 1995 to 2003. Barnett’s earlier career includes roles as Director of Marketing and Marketing Associate at UCLA Extension between 1989 and 1995. Educational achievements include a B.A. in Communication Studies with a focus on Mass Communications from UCLA, and a Professional Designation Certificate in Advertising, also from UCLA.
City of Temecula
The City of Temecula is a dynamic community comprised of approximately 109,064 citizens. The City maintains 40 parks on 314 developed acres throughout the community, which provide recreation opportunities for both the citizens of Temecula, as well as surrounding communities. Police and Fire protection are provided through a contract with Riverside County. The Temecula Valley Unified School District provides 32 schools for 27,700 students at the kindergarten through 12th grade levels within the City.
