Alain Joseph

Alain Joseph serves as the Manager of Indigenous Relations for the City of Thunder Bay since March 2021, having previously held the position of Policy Analyst. Prior experience includes significant roles at Parks Canada from March 2014 to March 2019, where Alain led the development of the Ukkusiksalik National Park management plan and coordinated comments for the Draft Nunavut Land Use Plan. Prior to this, Alain worked at the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources from May 2001 to February 2014, where responsibilities spanned roles from Assistant Park Planner to Fire Ranger, contributing to planning processes for various provincial parks and responding to wildfire emergencies. Academic qualifications include multiple degrees in Forestry and Conservation from institutions such as the University of Eastern Finland, SLU - Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, and Lakehead University.
