Justin Scott

Justin Scott is an experienced professional in the mining and environmental sectors, currently serving as a Mining Readiness Strategy Intern with the City of Thunder Bay since April 2014. In this role, Justin implements the Mining Readiness Strategy Plan through various meetings and information sessions, collaborating with organizations such as Women in Mining and the Ontario Prospectors Association to foster a positive mining culture and counter misconceptions about the industry. Previously, Justin worked as an Instrumentation Technician at Terracon Geotechnique Ltd., where responsibilities included monitoring berms and tailings pond conditions, and utilizing technical instruments for environmental assessment. Justin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Lakehead University, a Mining Techniques certificate from Confederation College, and a Certificate in Economic Development from the University of Waterloo.
