Summer Stevenson possesses a diverse background in environmental management, education, and community engagement. Currently serving as a Project Manager - Housing Accelerator, Climate Action Specialist, and Sustainability Coordinator with the City of Thunder Bay since January 2020, Summer has a track record of enhancing sustainable practices and climate initiatives. Prior experience includes roles as a Park Biologist and Senior Park Interpreter with Ontario Parks, where responsibilities involved environmental assessments and the creation of engaging educational programs. Additional experience encompasses support for students with special needs at the Upper Canada District School Board, science communication at Science North & Dynamic Earth, and leadership roles in various educational contexts. Summer holds a Bachelor of Education from Lakehead University and an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology and Biology from Trent University.
