Michele Wright

Director, Litigation, And Solicitor

Michele Wright is an experienced legal professional currently serving as the Director of Litigation and Solicitor for the City of Toronto since May 2006, where responsibilities include managing a broad range of cases related to technology contracts, commercial leases, and environmental issues. Additionally, Michele has been a member of the Ontario Board of the Nature Conservancy of Canada since June 2017 and serves as Chair of the Governance and Nominating Committee, supporting conservation efforts in Ontario. Previous roles include Chair of the Board of Directors for Frontier College from 2013 to 2016, contributing to national literacy initiatives, and Chair of the Board of Directors at the Jean Tweed Centre from 2004 to 2006, focusing on support for women with substance use and mental health challenges. Michele’s legal career began at Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP from 1996 to 2006, where a focus on commercial litigation for corporate clients was developed. Michele holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia, a Diploma in Public Administration from Western University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Queen's University.
