Raphael Dumas is an experienced professional in urban mobility and data operations, currently serving as Team Lead for Data Operations at the City of Toronto since July 2016. Dumas has contributed significantly to improving transportation in North America's fourth largest city through the use of Big Data. Prior experience includes roles at the Boston Cyclists Union, where geospatial data analysis supported bike infrastructure improvements, and COPPE/UFRJ, which focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions through urban planning. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in City/Urban Planning and a Master of Science in Transportation and Highway Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, along with a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from McGill University. Additional experience involves leadership roles in marine operations and search and rescue missions with the Canadian Coast Guard.
