Samir Faruk

Samir Faruk is a seasoned professional in the construction and engineering field, currently serving as a Transportation Engineering Coordinator with the City of Toronto since December 2023. Prior to this role, Samir held a position as Project Coordinator at EllisDon from April 2022 to December 2023 and gained valuable experience as a Junior Estimator/Project Coordinator at Outspan Concrete Structures Ltd. Samir's career began with roles such as Site Coordinator and Field Technician with Reliance Construction Group and MNA Engineering Ltd., respectively, where responsibilities included site inspections, project meetings, and conducting tests. Samir also served as a Field and Lab Technician with V. A. Wood Associates Limited, performing concrete and soil tests, and as an Assistant Site Supervisor, facilitating administrative tasks and supporting field operations. Samir holds a Bachelor's of Technology in Construction Management from George Brown College and an Engineer’s Degree in Nuclear Engineering from Ontario Tech University.
