George Shaw has work experience in various roles related to community development and zoning administration. George began their career as a Zoning Administrator at Effingham County, GA in May 2006. George later joined the Effingham County Board of Commissioners in 2006 where they continued their role as a Zoning Administrator. In September 2015, they became the Director of Community Development at the City of Tybee Island.
George Shaw attended the University of Florida from 1981 to 1984, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. George further pursued their education at Savannah State University from 2000 to 2003, obtaining a Master of Public Administration degree with a focus in Public Administration.
