Daniel Buffalo, CPA, CGMA has a diverse work experience. Daniel began their career as a Department Analyst at EL DORADO COUNTY in 2005 and worked there until 2008. Daniel then joined the City of Lakeport, where they held positions such as Compliance Officer, Economic Development and Redevelopment Manager, and Finance Director. After working at the City of Lakeport for several years, they transitioned to Mendocino College in 2012 as an Adjunct Faculty Member. Currently, they are employed as the Finance Director at the City of Ukiah, a position they have held since 2016.

Daniel Buffalo, CPA, CGMA, obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science from the University of California, Davis, where they attended from 1997 to 2002. In 2004, they pursued a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) from the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy. During the same year, they also completed a program in Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley.

In 2003-2004, Daniel attended the La Follette School of Public Affairs at UW-Madison for studies in Public Affairs. In 2011, they obtained a Certificate in Governmental Accounting from the University of Georgia. Later, in 2014, Daniel became a Chartered Global Management Accountant through the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants. Daniel also earned the designation of Certified Public Accountant from the California Board of Accountancy in the same year.

Daniel's continuing education includes obtaining a Certificate of Completion in the GFOA Advanced Government Finance Institute from the Wisconsin School of Business in 2017.
