Naveed Ashraf has a diverse work experience in various organizations. In 1997, they started their career as the Director of Information Systems at Meyer Corporation, a leading cookware manufacturer and distributor. Naveed worked on project management, process improvements, and requirement gathering for IS-related projects until 2014. After that, Naveed joined The City of Benicia as an Information Technology Manager, where they were responsible for managing the citywide network and technology infrastructure. Naveed successfully completed high-profile projects such as data center migrations and upgrades. Naveed's most recent role is Chief Innovation Officer (CINO) & IT Director at the City of Vallejo, California, starting in 2019. In this position, they develop the city's annual innovation work plan and analyzes policies and procedures to challenge the status quo.

Naveed Ashraf began their education at Hyde Park High School, where they received their HS Diploma in Sciences and General Education courses from 1982 to 1986. Naveed then pursued further education at Solano Community College, earning an Associate's degree in Computer Science from 1995 to 1997, and later obtained another Associate's degree in Psychology from 1997 to 1998. Their educational journey continued at the University of Phoenix, where they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Management Information Systems, General, from 2009 to 2010.
