Heather Behrens

Heather Behrens has a diverse work experience. Most recently, they worked as the Marketing and Communications Director at the City of Waukee starting in July 2022. Prior to that, they had a long tenure at OutcomesMTM, a Cardinal Health company, where they held various roles including Marketing Director, Senior Marketing Associate, and MTM Performance Associate from April 2012 to July 2022. Before joining OutcomesMTM, they worked as a Group Travel Coordinator at STA Travel from November 2007 to June 2011, where they managed multiple travel groups, achieved top sales performance, and developed booking processes. Additionally, they had internship experiences as a Communications Intern at the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and the Soil and Water Conservation Society in 2007.

Heather Behrens attended Iowa State University from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Communications, with a focus on Public Relations. Additionally, in March and April of 2022, they obtained certifications in Mental Health First Aid from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.
