David Beach

David Beach has extensive experience in public administration, currently serving as City Manager for the City of West University Place since July 2005. Previous roles within the same city include Assistant City Manager, Director of Public Works, Assistant Director of Public Works, General Services Superintendent, and Assistant to the City Manager. Prior to this, David Beach worked as Assistant to the City Manager and Management Analyst for the City of Mukilteo from August 1998 to July 2005, and held the position of Management Assistant for the City of Covington in late 1997. Early career experience includes roles as Project Planner and Planning Intern at the Pierce County Planning and Land Use Department from May 1997 and June 1996, respectively. David Beach holds a Master of Public Administration from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Washington State University.
