Emily Sangster, RPP, MCIP, currently serves as the Manager of Planning and Development for the City of Wetaskiwin since June 2023. From September 2019 to June 2023, Emily was a Long Range Planner for the City of Beaumont, leading the development of the Age-Friendly Strategy and Affordable Housing Strategy. Prior experience includes a planner role at WSP in Canada, where project coordination and stakeholder consultation were key responsibilities, and a policy analyst position at CRTC, involved in analyzing television licensing applications. Emily also worked as a research assistant in various capacities, contributing to studies on bicycle safety and health worker education. Emily holds a Master's degree in Urban Planning from McGill University and a BA (Hons.) in International Development and Political Studies from Queen’s University.
