Clayton Roberts

Clayton Roberts, SPHR, serves as the Human Resources Director for the City of Wilmington, NC since July 2016, having previously held positions as Assistant HR Director, Human Resources Manager, and Senior Human Resources Analyst within the same organization. Prior experience includes a role as a Human Resources Generalist at Boeing from August 2015 to July 2016, and multiple HR positions at the City of Wilmington, NC from May 2011 to July 2015. Educational credentials include a Certificate in Leading for Results from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2019, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Appalachian State University, earned in 2008, along with studies completed at the University of North Carolina Wilmington from 2010 to 2012. Prior to a career in human resources, Clayton Roberts worked as a Social Studies Teacher in Carteret County Schools from 2008 to 2010 and as an Assistant Residence Coordinator at UNC Wilmington.
