Jon Henschel

Jon Henschel, CEMSO, CFO, EFO, holds extensive experience in the fire service sector, currently serving as Fire Chief for the City of Winchester, Virginia Local Government since September 2013, with previous roles including Assistant Fire Chief and Battalion Chief. Prior to this, Jon worked at Winchester Fire and Rescue from October 1997 to August 2013, progressing through ranks from Firefighter/Medic to Lieutenant and Sergeant. Jon Henschel's educational background includes Master's Degrees in Emergency Services Management from Columbia Southern University and Organizational Leadership from Waldorf University, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Fire Services Administration and an Associate's Degree in Fire Science. Jon is also a graduate of the NFA Executive Fire Officer Program and has ongoing education through the Virginia Fire Officers Academy.
