Josh Berry currently serves as the Interim Chief of Police for the City of Winchester, Virginia Local Government, a position held since October 2023, and previously held the role of Deputy Chief of Police. Prior experience includes almost eight years at the Rockbridge County Sheriff's Office, where responsibilities included Chief of Operations, Investigator, and Deputy Sheriff. Additional law enforcement experience was gained at a Law Enforcement Agency/Government as a Law Enforcement Officer from March 2014 to November 2015. Josh Berry has a military background as an Infantryman Fire Team Leader in the US Army, participating in Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2011 to 2014. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice/Public Administration and a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, both from Liberty University, along with a high school diploma from Bassett High School.
