Kena Cofield Jones

Kena Cofield Jones is an accomplished human resources professional with extensive experience in leadership roles. Currently serving as the Director of Human Resources for the City of Winston-Salem since May 2025, Kena has previously held similar positions, including Director of Human Resources for the City of Rocky Mount from May 2020 to April 2025. Prior work experience includes serving as HR Manager II at the Department of Health and Human Services and as a consultant/HR Director at Saint Augustine’s University. Additionally, Kena has contributed to academia as an Adjunct Professor at Trinity Washington University from January 2013 to May 2020. Kena holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Management with a focus on Leadership and Organizational Change, as well as a Master of Philosophy, both from Walden University.
