Matthew Schley

Matthew Schley has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Matthew began their career as an Assistant Land Manager at Minute Men HR, where they managed day-to-day farm operations and handled administrative tasks related to EPA and state regulatory compliance. Matthew then worked as an Administrative Assistant at the Village of New Concord, collaborating with the village administrator on various projects and implementing village policies. After that, they served as the Township Administrator at Medina Township, where they oversaw policy implementation, planning, and community event organization. More recently, Matthew held the position of Planning and Zoning Administrator at the City of Zanesville, responsible for code compliance enforcement, zoning ordinance development, economic development programs, and other planning-related duties. Currently, they serve as the Community Development Director for the City of Zanesville, overseeing divisions related to planning, zoning, economic development, building, code enforcement, and weed and litter prevention.

Matthew Schley attended Muskingum University from 2013 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration and Political Science.
