Derek A. Lee

Derek A. Lee is a Senior Manager in People & Operations at City Year since July 2012, leading a team of AmeriCorps Members in tutoring and mentoring roles at Memorial Middle School, emphasizing academic support and community improvement. Previously, Derek held positions as Impact Manager and Impact Coach within City Year, focusing on school service implementation and corps member coaching. Derek participated in the Palm Beach County School District as a Developing Our Community Reading Leader, targeting literacy enhancement for fifth graders, and served as a SACC Counselor, providing crisis intervention and support. Derek holds a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Miami and an Associate Degree from Palm Beach State College, with additional education at Valencia College.
