Derek Pediford

Derek Pediford is an experienced professional dedicated to bridging the education gap in under-served communities, currently serving as the Regional Recruitment Manager for City Year in the East Region since December 2018. Previously, Derek held significant roles in various organizations, including Director of Young Men's Initiative and Coordinator for College Connections at Philadelphia Futures, and Program Manager and College and Career Specialist at NYC Mission Society. Earlier positions include College Advisor at Harlem Children's Zone, Sales Associate at Polo Ralph Lauren, and Intern at Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science in Government and American Studies from Franklin & Marshall College and a Master's in Public Administration specializing in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from LIU Brooklyn.
