Johnny Barr

Johnny Barr has extensive experience in marketing and communications, having held various leadership positions at City Year since September 2001, including Senior Director of Marketing & Communications Operations and Managing Director of External Relations. At City Year Chicago, Johnny leads the external relations team, focusing on civic engagement, recruitment, and marketing in the local market. In addition to professional roles, Johnny is also a cartoonist, currently working on a graphic novel/autobiography. Academically, Johnny Barr holds a Master of Arts in Theology from Bethany Theological Seminary, a Bachelor of Arts in Art with a minor in Philosophy from Bridgewater College, and a certificate from the SCTC Improvisation Program at the Second City Training Center in Chicago.
