Sherisse M. Butler

Sherisse M. Butler serves as the Senior Vice President and Executive Director at City Year, bringing a wealth of experience from previous leadership roles including Founding Executive Director at the Annie J. Butler Northeast Detroit Community Action Coalition and Senior Director of Government Affairs for the Detroit Public Schools Community District. With a background that includes positions as Assistant Director of Government Affairs and Research & Policy Associate, Sherisse has also contributed to the Detroit Land Bank Authority as Community Relations Associate & Social Media Manager and managed Middle School Initiatives and Data Evaluation for Teen HYPE. Sherisse M. Butler holds a Master of Science in Community Health Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Master of Divinity in Christian Social Ethics & Systematic Theology from Union Theological Seminary.
