Virgil Sheppard

Virgil Sheppard serves as the President and CEO of Hope Partnership for Education since June 2021. Concurrently, Virgil has held various leadership roles at City Year since September 2011, including National School Partnerships Senior Director and Managing Director of Impact, where responsibilities included overseeing the training and implementation of the Whole School Whole Child model and managing relationships with Philadelphia's School District and charter partners. Previously, Virgil worked as a Response to Intervention Specialist at The School District of Philadelphia from September 2009 to September 2011, contributing to the development and implementation of the city's first Response to Intervention Pilot while supporting middle school guidance counselors. Virgil holds a Master of Education in Education Administration from Cheyney University of Pennsylvania and has also studied at Temple University.
