Christopher Rathbone

Christopher Rathbone is an accomplished legal professional and educator with extensive experience in law, translation, and film production. Currently serving as a Foreign Associate at City-Yuwa Partners since June 2022 and Executive Producer at Stay Motion Picture G.K. since August 2017, Rathbone has a strong focus on storytelling and legal education. As an Adjunct Professor of Law at Temple University Japan, Rathbone teaches legal writing and research, alongside a role as a Lecturer for the Continuing Education Program. Previous positions include manager for contract drafting and review, vice president for translation at Tokyo Star Bank, and paralegal at Jones Day. Rathbone holds multiple degrees in law from institutions such as Hokkaido University and the University of Saskatchewan, and has furthered knowledge in Japanese studies and plain language writing.
