Lula Richards

Lula Richards has extensive experience in compliance and risk management roles. Lula served as the Chief Compliance Officer at Cityblock Health, where they built and directed the compliance and internal audit division, ensuring regulatory compliance and managing resources. Lula also created procedures and policies to adhere to legal and industry standards. Prior to this, they held the same role at Versant Health, overseeing the enterprise-wide compliance program and managing a budget of $3.5M. Lula also held positions at Bank of America, leading a team to establish risk management policies, and at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, where they served as the Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management. Additionally, Lula worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield Association as the Managing Director of Program Assurance, ensuring compliance with federal contracts and serving as the FEP HIPAA privacy and security official. Lula began their career as the Director of Enterprise Risk Management at NASCO, where they led a team and developed processes to identify, evaluate, mitigate, and monitor strategic, operational, compliance, and IT risks. Throughout their career, Lula has consistently demonstrated their expertise in risk management and compliance, driving improvements and ensuring adherence to standards and regulations.

Lula Richards has a Master of Science in Information and Telecommunication Systems from The Johns Hopkins University. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Arts in Computer Information Systems from Notre Dame of Maryland University.
