Gareth Husband

Gareth Husband is an experienced civil engineering professional currently serving as the Head of Operations at Citycare Water since August 2024. Previously, Gareth held various leadership positions at Downer New Zealand from August 2020 to August 2024, including Regional Manager for both Infrastructure Delivery and Transport Projects, as well as General Manager for Operations in the South Island. Earlier roles include General Manager Operations at Hawkins and Construction Manager during a secondment at North Canterbury Transport Infrastructure Recovery (NCTIR). Gareth's extensive project management experience encompasses significant infrastructure projects at Fulton Hogan, such as the Majura Parkway and Sapphire to Woolga projects, as well as the Ipswich Motorway Upgrade. Gareth holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of Canterbury and a New Zealand Certificate in Engineering from the Central Institute of Technology Wellington.
