Mahreen Alam

Mahreen Alam is a skilled Policy and Research Analyst with experience at Cityfi since May 2022 and previously served in the City of West Hollywood focusing on innovation and urban policy. Alam has a background in academic research as a Graduate Student Researcher at UCLA Center for Civil Rights, where data analysis aimed at identifying disparities in K-12 exclusionary discipline. Prior roles include Digital Organizer at MPower Change, Community Health and Sexual Violence Prevention Educator with HEART Women & Girls, and Youth Organizer at CAIR-CA, emphasizing civic engagement within American Muslim communities. Additionally, Alam has experience in fiscal analysis and editorial roles, including work with the California State Senate and The Tempest. Educational credentials include a Master’s in Public Policy from UCLA Luskin School and a Bachelor’s in Political Science from UC Irvine.
