Glenn Nieves, CIPP/US, CIPM has a diverse and extensive work experience in the legal and administrative field. Glenn'smost recent position was as the Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel at Cityside Networks since January 2023. Prior to that, from September 2020 to January 2023, they worked as an Outside General Counsel, Board Advisor & Management Consultant, providing strategic advisory and consulting services to investment firms and high-growth market disrupting companies.

From October 2018 to September 2020, Glenn served as the General Counsel at 5x5 Telecom, a venture-backed telecommunications provider. In this role, they provided legal support to the CEO and Board of Directors, handling corporate governance, employment matters, and risk management.

From February 2012 to July 2018, Glenn worked at Wilcon as the Vice President, General Counsel, CAO, Government Affairs and Corporate Secretary. Wilcon is the largest privately held fiber optic network provider in California, and Glenn served as the chief legal counsel, chief administrative officer, and a key member of the executive leadership.

Before joining Wilcon, Glenn worked as a Corporate & Securities Associate at Clark & Trevithick, a full-service boutique law firm. Glenn supported partners in various corporate security matters, including private company formation, VC fundraising negotiations, and M&A due diligence.

Glenn's career began at ASCII Media Inc., where they served as the Executive Vice President, CAO, Business Affairs & General Counsel. During their time there from March 2009 to September 2010, Glenn handled all legal matters, with a focus on intellectual property and corporate governance.

Prior to that, Glenn gained experience as a Corporate & Finance Associate at Reed Smith LLP from 2007 to 2009 and as a Corporate Associate and Member of the Hispanic Business Group at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP from 2005 to 2007.

Glenn Nieves, CIPP/US, CIPM, has a strong educational background in law and social science & history. Glenn obtained their Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Los Angeles - School of Law in 2005. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science & History from California State University, Los Angeles in 2000. In addition to their academic achievements, Glenn Nieves holds certifications as an attorney from the State Bar of California and as a Certified Information Privacy Professional - United States (CIPP/US) from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
