Joannie Bruneau has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Joannie'smost recent position was as the Higher Education Chief at CIUSSS de l'Estrie-CHUS, where they developed partnerships with educational institutions and supported teaching activities. Prior to that, they served as the Chief of Medical Laboratory Service and Chief of Medical Biology Service at the same organization, where they managed resources and ensured smooth operations. Joannie also worked as a Biomedical Laboratory Technology Teacher at Cégep de Sherbrooke and Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe, where they prepared and taught classes, evaluated students, and supervised them. Joannie has also worked as a Scientific Animator at Conseil du loisir scientifique de l'Estrie and held research trainee positions at Université de Sherbrooke Hospital and Research Center on Aging. Joannie Bruneau's education history starts with a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacology from Université de Sherbrooke, which they completed from 2005 to 2008. Joannie then pursued a Master's degree in Cell Biology from the same university, which they obtained in 2011. In 2010, Joannie also participated in the Explore Program for English Second Language at The University of British Columbia.

Afterward, they attended Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2011 for the Explore Program in English Second Language. Following that, Joannie completed a Graduate Microprogram in Organizational Development from Université Laval in 2012 to 2014. From 2014 to 2015, they pursued a Graduate Diploma in Organizational Development from the Faculty of Business Development at Université Laval.

Furthermore, Joannie Bruneau obtained a Master's Degree in D éveloppement des organizations from Université Laval in 2016. Outside their formal education, they also acquired different certifications, including Scientific Animator from Conseil du loisir scientifique de l'Estrie in 2010, Radioprotection from Université de Sherbrooke in 2008, Injection and Blood Specimen Collection from Quebec Professional Order of Medical Technologists in 2006, and WHMIS and Laboratory Security Training from Université de Sherbrooke in 2006.
