Thomas Wilburn is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data journalism and web development. Currently serving as Senior Data Editor at Chalkbeat, Thomas oversees a team of data journalists, facilitating data analysis and visualization for public records. Previous roles include Senior News Apps Developer at NPR, where Thomas developed industry-standard tools and collaborated on national election results, and Newsroom Web Developer at The Seattle Times, enhancing the online presence of the newsroom. Thomas has also contributed as an instructor at Seattle Central Community College, a web developer at ArenaNet and Big Fish Games, and led multimedia projects at CQ Roll Call Group.
