Owen McCarthy

Owen McCarthy has a strong background in data analytics and research. Owen is currently working as the Director of Data Analytics at PolicyMap, Inc. starting in October 2022. Before that, they served as the Applied Data Science Lead for the Public Sector at Civis Analytics since September 2020. Prior to that, Owen worked as the Senior Data Science & Analytics Manager at the University of Chicago Urban Labs from August 2018 to September 2020 and as a Research Professional from April 2015 to August 2018. Owen also has experience as an Analytics Consultant at Novetta from March 2014 to May 2015 and as a Consultant at Sentinel Applied Analytics from June 2012 to March 2014. Owen began their career as a Research Assistant at the Center for Global Development from January 2009 to March 2012. Owen also worked as a Research Assistant at the Boston University-Institute for Economic Development from January 2008 to August 2008 and at the Boston University-Department of Sociology from June 2007 to June 2008.

Owen McCarthy attended Boston University from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Economics.
