Matthew Milliron

Matthew Milliron, Ed.D. has extensive work experience in the field of technology and education. Matthew started their career as an Elementary School Teacher in Kyrene School District, where they not only taught but also led the development and implementation of the school's first website. Matthew trained teachers and staff in web page design and conducted technology integration trainings.

Following this, Milliron worked at Arizona State University as a Senior Technology Support Analyst. In this role, they led technology initiatives, purchases, and faculty and staff training. Matthew also played a key role in transitioning the College of Education to a new learning management system and coordinated with university technology staff for strategic technology initiatives.

Milliron then moved on to work at the League for Innovation in the Community College as the Chief Information Officer. During their time there, they upgraded the organization's technology systems and infrastructure, launched a strategic information portal for member colleges, and managed technology services for multiple national conferences and events.

After that, they joined Rio Salado College as the Chief Technology Officer and Director of R&D. In this position, they initiated programs to support technology strategies and operations at the largest public online community college. Milliron also collaborated with college and district leadership to support strategic and operational planning related to technology programs and systems.

Matthew'snext role was at EDUCAUSE, where they served as the Chief Information Officer. Here, Milliron led the organizational information technology team through a transformational period, rebuilding the technology infrastructure and establishing a customer-first orientation. Matthew managed technology budgets, facilitated vendor and partner relationships, and oversaw technology planning and operations for large national conferences.

Most recently, Milliron has been working at Civitas Learning. Matthew served in various roles including VP Solutions Engineering, VP Strategic Services, Senior Architect, Solutions Engineering and RFP Strategic Leader, Senior Director, Solutions Engineering, and Senior Director, Partner Success. These positions involved leading and overseeing various aspects of solution engineering, strategic services, and partner success.

Matthew Milliron, Ed.D. completed their Bachelor's degrees in Music and Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University between 1994 and 1999. Matthew then pursued a Master's degree in Educational Technology Programs from the University of Phoenix from 2000 to 2001. Finally, they earned their Ed.D. in Higher Education from Arizona State University from 2002 to 2008.
